Have you managed servers previously? Yes
If Yes, which ones? A while back, I managed a Minecraft server called "Sourcraft." I'll include details to contact the owner when the server was in operation for convenience.
Why do you want to become an admin? I want to become an admin because I feel like I owe the TF2 community. I've constantly been taking from it by trading, making friends, deriving entertainment from TF, etc. I feel as if it's my time to give back, and I'd like to begin server moderation.
Are you familiar with admin commands? Yes
Do you know any of our current staff members? No
If Yes, please tell us the their names. NONE
Please tell us when you usually play and are available. I usually play between 3:00 and 8:00 PST. However, with winter break and a new school semester (with different classes at different times) coming up, this is subject to change.
On what servers do you usually play? I usually play on the Blackwonder LA trade server, the server I'm applying for.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know. Pros:
-Extensive trading knowledge, familiar with all tiers of trading, as I have built my backpack from the ground up. Of course, extensive trade knowledge is paramount to helping run a trade server. Feel free to check out the charts of my backpack growth, and observe the trades I have made: http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198066311459 Additionally, I'm familiar with item values to the point where I suggest item prices for backpack.tf, with over 1,100 price suggestions accepted: http://backpack.tf/u/76561198066311459. Not only does this prove my knowledge, but it proves my loyalty to communities, as my very first price suggestion was accepted nearly 3 years ago.
-Have moderator experience, avidly mod for InedibleKirby's twitch.tv livestream:
-Years ago, I began my own group. Unfortunately, it's dead now, but more experience under my belt I suppose: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FoVyse
-I'm nearly a polyglot! I speak fluent English and Spanish (passed the AP exam, can provide proof if necessary). I am also in the process of learning Japanese (I'm in Japanese 1 currently) and I can read all of the Hiragana.
Cons:
-I've been in the Blackwonder community for a rather short time, having played on the trade server for about 2 months and having been foruming for roughly 2 weeks.
-I have no Blackwonder staff members there to vouch for me; this is a con for obvious reasons.
Contact:
-InedibleKirby, the livestreamer I moderate for: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198065470682/
-Former Sourcraft owner: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198065470682/
How would you go about punishing a hacker/spammer/simple rulebreaker...etc.? -Cheater: I would begin recording a demo to back up my suspicions. Once I believe I have obtained sufficient evidence, I would permanently ban the cheater from Blackwonder servers, as perpetuating a bad name for Blackwonder would be simply unacceptable.
-Spammer: I would give the spammer(s) a fair, clear warning, making sure they have understand what I said before proceeding. Should they continue, I would apply a mute/gag for about 15 minutes or so, or when I genuinely believe they have learned their lesson. Should they continue further, I would mute them for a couple of hours. This would increase until it snowballs into a permanent mute/gag.
-Simple Rulebreaker: This one is a toughie. It really comes down to what rule they broke, and how "hard" they broke it.
