What rules has the reported player broken? Abuse of donor powers to initiate a vote mute on a player who used the word nigga.

Racial slurs are not bannable on blackwonder servers according to admin Viking34.

Yes, the word "nigga" really isn't an good reason to votemute, but, did cosmo know that?

I know Cosmo, he won't abuse his donator commands.

But the guy got gagged because of the vote Cosmo initiated. The only person responsible for the vote is Cosmo, the people who did the vote probably just hit 2 to get rid of the ugly vote menu. Ultimately the responsibility is on Cosmo, and accidental or not he should be punished for abusing donor commands.

Abuse is more like if they do it several times, as far as I know, he only did it once.

I mean, I didn't think it was abuse either, but an admin said it was so I just don't know what's going on anymore. Someone is wrong in this situation and it's not me. Cosmo needs to be banned or Viking needs to retract.

Even if it goes through, cosmo would probably only receive a warning and less of a chance for his admin position but not really a ban...

My nigga it has been stated by an admin that nigga is a perfectly acceptable term as long as you don't offend anyone and that the word itself is not offensive.

It depends in what context it was used, also if someone asks you to not use a certain racial slur as he or she considers it racism, then you should respect it. I think anyone should be able to say words or noone if it comes to the n-word. It's bs that we devide words being able to be used if you have a certain skin colour. And one admin saying something doesn't mean we all agree. We need to discuss and to do so, we need to full back story of how it came to it. Because you you just say the n-word once or so, I'm cool with it. But the moment you use it to insult people or you use it in every sentence, then I will warn you to stop or I'll mute you. You can't just call anyone the n-word as some people, no matter what skincolour they have, are uncomfortable being refered to skincoloured names.

Do not overuse the word, I'm warning you.

You even say "as long as you don't offend anyone" and someone got offended, then you keep using the word to disrespect the person. It's just like you not liking to be called "nerd", which is nothing bad and I keep calling you "my little nerd", "my sweet nerd" and etcetera. It's at this point just provoking a person for something you know he or she doesn't like.

Agreed with Miyuki. And besides all that, a votemute still requires the majority of the server to vote 'yes'. And if the majority votes 'yes' then probably most people will consider it offensive.

No no no lulboy, an admin has stated that all of the blw users are idiots who just spam 2 when they see a vote to get rid of the ugly vote menu. all the responsibility of a vote is on the person who initiated it.

Thread closed. Talked to Ben about it. Cases are to be seen in perspective. A usage of a word can be okay if it doesn't upset a person but overusage of a racial word is wrong.
