So basically I wanted to suggest removing the rebel status for spies that are disguised, a reason is backstabbing a blu with the eternal reward or the wanga prick and gaining their disguise. Maybe using this disguise to act as a blu is fun and useful for reds but the spies are easily caught due to the rebel status. Maybe remove this status for spies to run around in the midst of blus. I believe that this may be more “fun” in a way.

this is just a wayyyy too overpowered idea unless they're smart enough to hit tab
I think it is interesting. The spy will have to use cunning and skills for the blus to not suspect him. I think it would be balanced because to successfully trick an enemy team when you are disguised takes quite a bit of skills.

"If you have disguised using Your Eternal Reward or the Wanka Prick, remove it immediately."
The rule definitely isn't gonna be changed anytime soon, that would be way too overpowered.

This works both ways but as far as i go is not saying they rebelled in chat, the YER and WP are already great and to help that its really good but after a point it will become a problem if you remove the aura from the rebeller. A good compromise would be instead of 30 second cooldown for the status it could be lowered to 15. This would mean amazing spies can get to work faster but bad spies can still get caught. We get to still keep the status but it becomes a challenge of skill and not luck.

Honestly, how it works ingame is fine now, since there aren't that many wardens that actively check the scoreboards and the chat. The chat "Player X has rebelled" isnt called into question since everytime anyone hits a baiter they are also marked so a lot of wardens just ignore the chat if it says someone rebelled. The thing that really kills it are people that say they died or make a big deal about their death.

TL;DR: Don't hate the game, hate the ghosts.

how about the bright red glow that engulfs any rebels, rendering a disguise absolutely worthless

Just avoid guards until it goes away? You shouldn't be picking off guards when they're close together anyways. Snipers are your best bet since they stay away from the pack regularly anyways so all you need is to get 1 and then just keep stabbing them from behind after it wears off, then rinse and repeat.

Guards are almost always packed together. When there is a warden they have to stay with him, most of the time they do.

This is clearly a controversial topic and reaching a final decision is going to be difficult, even with a simple poll - the consensus might veer towards adding this, but someone is still going to have to go through the trouble of actually coding it, as right now the plugin doesn't discriminate between any forms of red-on-blu damage, not with the chat warning nor with the rebel glow. Since the plugin itself hasn't been touched in ages, if someone were to do the actual work and then create a thread showcasing their new fix, they're much, much more likely to get it added...

wink wink, nudge nudge
