On what servers do you usually play on, and which servers would you like to moderate?
Jailbreak
Why would you like to become a moderator?
I've been an active member of the community for a while now and have really enjoyed my time on the server. I'd like to become a moderator so I can give something back by helping keep the server fair, enjoyable, and welcoming for everyone.
I've seen how much of a difference active staff can make when dealing with issues like freekilling, micspam, and other rule breaks. I want to help ensure those situations are handled fairly and consistently so players can enjoy the game without unnecessary disruption.
I also enjoy helping players who are unsure about the rules or Jailbreak mechanics. While I know I can sometimes come across as a bit clueless or make the occasional mistake, I'm always willing to ask questions, listen to advice from more experienced staff members, and learn from feedback. I'd rather ask for clarification than make the wrong decision.
I'm not applying for the title or permissions—I'm applying because I enjoy the community and want to contribute positively while continuing to learn and improve as a moderator.

How often do you play TF2?
Basically every day
Please give us your ideal way of punishing players, specific to the servers you want to moderate
As a moderator, my priority would be to enforce the rules fairly and consistently while keeping the server enjoyable for everyone. I understand that Jailbreak is a fast-paced gamemode, so staff often have to make quick decisions. Because of that, I believe punishments should be clear, consistent, and appropriate to the situation rather than unnecessarily harsh.
I also understand that not every player breaks a rule intentionally. Where appropriate, especially with newer players, I would explain what they did wrong while still issuing the correct punishment. This helps them avoid making the same mistake again without slowing down moderation or overlooking rule violations.
My general approach is to:
Enforce the rules consistently.
Warn players where appropriate while explaining the rule if needed.
Escalate punishments for repeated or intentional rule-breaking.
Stay focused on actual rule breaches rather than players who are simply trying to seek attention.
Common Jailbreak Offences & My Punishment Approach
1. Freekilling
Freekilling has a direct impact on the round and should always be dealt with promptly.
First offence: Slay (or next round if the round is ending) alongside a warning and explanation if necessary.
Repeated offences: Temporary Guard Team Ban, with the duration depending on the player's history and whether the actions appear intentional.
Mass freekilling or deliberate abuse: Immediate Guard Team Ban for a significant duration.
2. Micspam
Voice communication is important during Jailbreak, so unnecessary micspam should be handled quickly.
First offence: Verbal warning.
Continued micspam: Temporary mute (for example, around 30 minutes depending on the circumstances).
Repeated offences: Longer temporary mute if they continue disrupting the server.
3. Confusing or Poor Warden Orders
Being Warden carries responsibility, and while players can make mistakes, they should still follow the server's expectations.
If a Warden gives confusing or incorrect orders through inexperience, I would explain the issue after addressing the immediate situation. If they continue causing disruption despite being informed, I would continue issuing appropriate warnings and seek guidance from senior staff if further action is required.
4. Disrespect, Racism & Harassment
These situations should be handled based on both the severity of the behaviour and the server's guidelines.
Disrespect/Harassment: Warning initially, with further action if the behaviour continues.
Racism or hate speech: Immediate mute (and gag if text chat is involved), with any further punishment depending on the severity and staff consensus where appropriate.
5. Cheating / Exploiting
Cheating has no place on the server.
If I believed someone was cheating or exploiting, I would gather sufficient evidence and follow the server's procedures before issuing or recommending the appropriate punishment. Maintaining the integrity of the server is important, but so is ensuring punishments are supported by evidence.
6. Illegal LRs and LR denials
If the warden accidentally gives an LR to the wrong person I would cancel the LR, warn the warden to be careful of who they are giving the last request to, and if needed give the last request to the correct person.
If its an intentional last request given to the wrong person I would cancel the LR and team ban the warden for a period of time depending on how new they are, or if they have prior history of team bans then that would warrant a longer team ban period.
In terms of LR denial, if it was an accidental case of the warden missing a valid custom LR, I'd advise them using admin commands to do the LR and if they carry on ignoring it I'd give them one more warning then force someone else to take over as warden, and if they ignore LR again during a later round I'd temporarily team ban them for about say 30 minutes to an hour. If it's accidentally missed Id just remind them about the LR and to make sure they do it after being reminded.
Team-Based Moderation
I don't believe moderation should be done in isolation. If I'm ever unsure about a punishment or an unusual situation, I'd consult another moderator or administrator before acting. Consistency across the staff team is important, and asking questions when needed helps ensure punishments remain fair and in line with server standards.
Final Thoughts
My goal isn't to punish as many players as possible—it's to keep the server running smoothly while enforcing the rules fairly and consistently. I want players to understand why action has been taken, while ensuring those who repeatedly or intentionally disrupt gameplay are dealt with appropriately.
I believe good moderation comes from being consistent, communicating clearly, working well with the rest of the staff team, and applying punishments that fit both the rule broken and the circumstances surrounding it.
