Why would you like to become a moderator?
Well, simply put the notice in chat made it out that you're looking for a helping hand or two, and this seemed like a decent way for me to help out a favorite server of mine in my spare time. I'll expand more in the "other info" section.
Do you know and have spoken to any of the current staff members? No
How often do you play TF2?
On and off, but for the moment I'd say every day to every other day is fair.
Please give us your ideal way of punishing players, specific to the server you want to moderate
Given the amount of time I've put into the server, the only real trouble I've seen are Spammers, Earrape, a NSWF spray every once in a while, and sometimes a script kiddie/hacker or two. So those are the main ones I'll be addressing
Spamming/Earrape outside of reason:
Warn>Warn + Mute/Gag 30 mins>1 hr>3 hrs>5 hrs>1 day>3 days>Perm
NSWF spray:
Warn and a kick with a request to change the spray>Spray ban until changed>Perm spray ban on 2nd offense
Hacking, exploiting, advertising hacks, that whole deal:
Perm ban. No exceptions
Is there any other information you would like us to know about?
As I said, the notice made it out that you all could use a bit of help, and I'd be more than happy to provide whenever I hop on the game if that's the case. It's a favorite server of mine and I'd love to support the health of it. But I do want to be upfront when I say I'm not going to be super consistent in terms of playtime. I could be on anywhere from 12:00 pm to 4:00 am MST. If you're looking for someone with a consistent schedule, I'm not your guy. I'm doing this under the impression that I'd be stepping up to volunteer and help out a server I enjoy when I can, and if you don't need the helping hand and would rather have consistency, choose someone else. I love this server and the community on it. I've become one of the recognizable regulars and I'd be honored to help keep it all alive. Given the fact that the world is a bit closed at the moment, I have tons of free time and always have my phone on me, so I could get a discord notification or something of the like if I needed to hop on and deal with a problematic player, which I would be happy to do. If you're looking for my help, I'm more than happy to provide, and if not, then that's alright. Thanks for your consideration.
