Past admin/server experience.

I've been an admin on a few Minecraft servers, including servers owned by friends. it's around 7 different servers that I clearly or somewhat remember, and there might be a few more that I've totally forgotten. 6 of the 7 servers are owned by my friends.

Then there's Counter-Strike: source(CSS). I remember 3 CSS servers with 1 of them were owned by a friend. There was 1 jailbreak server, where I was granted admin because no one had bought it yet, and I knew the rules from the inside out.

Now, Garry's Mod servers. There's 3 (again) with 2 of them being owned by a friend. All of them were DarkRP servers, and on the 3rd server, admin was given to me because I did a good job with "Try-Admin". The server was called DKBanana or BananaDK, I don't really remember the exact name anymore.

I've managed 1 tf2 server for a friend, but he didn't play tf2, and I was left alone on a server that he quite fast stopped paying for. The server ran for around 2-3 months before it eventually got shutdown.

Note: I helped my friends with installing plugins and teaching them how to use the commands. I didn't make the plugins, and most of the servers didn't last long.

Another note: I haven't been an admin on a big community like this, I've only lent a few hands here and there. Compared to this community, they were tiny.

Yet another note: I don't remember the names of the communities. I've tried to mention the names of those I do remember, but that isn't many, and pretty much all of the servers were too small to have a forum.

however I also like to play on Hightower, hidden, Rocket Pit, and servers with a friend or 2. Preferable not DR, Jailbreak or B-Hop.

How would you go about punishing a hacker, spammer, simple rulebreaker, etc?

Spamming text/voice chat: Advised to stop, if not followed < 1 day mute/gag < 3 days mute/gag < 1 week mute/gag < 2 weeks mute/gag < perm mute/gag (punishment is subject to change depending on the severity of the spam)
Calling out admins: Silenced in < 3 hour < 6 hours < 12 hours < 1 day < 2 days (Won't go higher than 2 days)
Exploiting/Glitching: Advised to stop, if continuing < 12 hours ban < 3 days ban < 1 week ban < 2 weeks ban < perm ban (punishment is subject to change depending on the severity of the exploit/glitch)
Pornography spray: Permanent spray ban.
Offensive language: mute/gag for < 2 hours < 7 hours < 3 days < 1 week < 2 weeks < perm (punishment is subject to change depending on the severity of the language)
Cheater: Record solid proof, then perm ban.
Advertising cheats/hacks: Advised to stop, if not followed Perm gag/mute.
Abuse !calladmin: 1 day ban < 2 days ban.
Spawn camping: Advised to stop, if not followed < 1 day ban < 3 days ban < 5 days ban < 1 week ban < 2 weeks ban < perm ban

I also won't be as active on weekdays, so if you notice a 2-5 days gap between activity, it's because I'm not doing anything gaming related in those days, but that might change if I'm an admin. (I couldn't write everything in "Please tell us when you usually play and are available")

I have 2 alt accounts, one of them is my old vac banned account, and the other is just an extra f2p account.

Benedevil asked me to make an admin app, and that gave me courage enough to make this app earlier than planned. (Future me says thanks Ben! )

Punishment policies are pretty good, though a tad steep on the exploiting part and you're missing spawncamping, which is common on orange. You could have fleshed it out a bit further by being less vague in the 'servers played on' section, sure, you play the standard orange servers and therefore have included relevant punishment policies for rules broken on deathmatch servers, but is that it? 'No consistency' isn't the same as 'I don't play on other servers', and you could have included duel, hightower, class warfare and the hidden, even if they're niche modes, as your stats show you play on them often. ...and therefore consistently.

Chatlogs are almost impeccable, some smack talk but not over the line. Try not to let smack talk evolve into condescension if you get accepted, it does happen.

If you're including information about your alts and VAC ban - which we're glad you did as letting us know is way better than us finding out sometime later - you should tell us a bit about them. For instance, in what game did you receive the ban, what were your thoughts on it, and ...please show us the account, we'll need to know.

Finally, you could have made a greater effort to get to know more members of the team, but that's excusable since it can be hard to get to know people without being pushy and you haven't had much time to do so in the short time you've been here.

About the exploit punishment. The reason why I said "slay if preparing" is, we've had a period where a lot of engineers wanted to teleport into spawn and place sentries there. So I began to prevent that, I would even go as far as join the other team to just prevent the engineer(s) from getting inside their enemy spawn room. So in case it happens again, I want to be able to slay them instead.


I didn't add spawn camping because of 2 reasons, (I will now add it since I now know cp_orange is considered a dm map)
1. cp_orange is a control point map, therefore, camping their spawn is one of the best and easiest ways to win the round.
2. It doesn't have dm in the name like dm_dual.

I was granted a vac ban after using cheat engine to get wallhack in css. I cheated in 1-2 days before stopping again, and after a few days. I got vac banned. I felt terrible for losing my games and items. So I haven't cheated on a steam game since.

I'm actually playing that way, I've seen a lot of people not letting people out of spawn, but I didn't think it was severe enough for you guys to look into. And I will most likely answer calls from servers very similar to cp_orange like Hightower and dm_dual, and also gamemodes I've played, like hidden and Rocket Pit.

I am curious, and I would like a bit of a follow-up on your anger issues. There appeared to some miscommunication last time, so I am going to just be a bit more direct to prevent a long discussion. Given a few of your responses last time, it appeared as though you admitted to having anger issues and then may have made up some legitimate diagnoses that you believed would explain away your immaturity. That is how some of us felt about it anyway. I am not going to go back and forth and reply again on this matter. But I would appreciate a one-time inclusive response to address the inconsistencies with the last time you tried to address the matter. I hope you understand, that we cannot have someone who may flip out and ban people (or worse) instead of just saying "fuck you" or calling someone an "idiot" or "fags".



As for the rest of the app, it appears that you listened to some criticism and it has improved. And it is always nice to see a non-jb applicant. I am NEUTRAL for now.

Calling out admins is still just punishable, you shouldn't punish someone if nothing bad happened because of it.

Exploiting/Glitching: Slay if preparing, if performed < 12 hours ban

You don't preemptively punish anyone. You warn them and then if they still exploit you ban.

Offensive language: Silenced in < 2 hours

You don't silence, you mute if they used voice and you gag if they used chat.

Just a bad idea overall. Encouraging someone who is not ready to apply by his own admittance almost always produces bad results, this is a bad omen. And since he asked you to apply it might seem like we are desperate to get new admins or that this means you will get accepted no matter what, neither of which are true. Requirements are still the same.

Wish you good luck with your application, don't think you are a "very promising applicant" otherwise everyone would just throw +support's at you, to me you seem more like a trap that has 50% of going off after being accepted. Neutral for now.

I believe my anger issue is "strong reaction" when I'm legit angry and not just pissed or annoyed. It's something I've gotten from my dad, but compared to him. I don't get annoyed by small things like chewing, button noises, and other minor things. Idk how he react to getting insulted, but I believe I'm way better at handling that than him, since I've dealt with that for years. About ADHD, I learned something really importent about myself because of the last admin app, and I'm extremlely happy for that. And if this app will be declined too, I hope I'm left with another major thing like last time.

I've fully learned how to utilize some of the habits I got from ADHD to improve my concantration and to think more creatively.

Thanks for taking up some of the mistakes and giving tips. And I can say that ADHD and anger won't be a big issue. They aren't out of control and remember that you can't see what and who I'm responding to, it's easy to take things out of context or misunderstand the meaning of some of my chatlogs.

I believe that @Buster's concern rises from the repeated examples showing that you respond to other people's provocation in an immature manner. And that admins can be cussed out and insulted just as often (if not significantly more) as average users. Also it is odd you seem to find yourself in so many of these situations. Admins are frequently called in to resolve conflict, and you see to have a tendency to react negatively.

Imma quickly throw in my 2 cents. I've seen quite a few admin applications in my time and what has worked and what hasn't, along with some people that shouldn't have necessarily been accepted *cough* *cough* @Jim. So far I think you've hit some things that have always worked, like your application isn't a goddamn thesis about how you are the best fit and I don't feel like I need a "tl;dr", your app is professional and organized, and your activity is pretty good from just observing your app, (@RainbowRob, feel free to add onto this about his activity). A few of the bad things I really noticed was how little of the team you actually know. A ton of people use the excuse, "I can't be on enough," or, "its hard for me to meet them." Weekends are your active times, get on discord, pm any of us, we WANT to talk. Second, this is more of a pet peeve if anything, your admin experiences seem to be a ton of "my friend's server", which is fine but you can see the hint of nepotism within your admin experiences. As long as you take that into consideration I think your app is fine. gl.

I'm glad to hear this, and you can say I go under "its hard for me to meet them." because of the impression I got from the first admins(@Jim, @Tomato Kat, and maybe 1 or 2 others.) I met, they scared me a bit. So I haven't really felt safe or comfortable to just directly message staff members.

Chatlogs cannot confirm that the toxicity is still an issue as these snippets of chat are taken out of context and could easily be misunderstood. Context matters.
Some of these messages aren't exactly immature or from anger, they are just S W E A R S within common TF2 memes and jokes (e.g. "scunt", "cuntsman").
