Accepted Add new 2Fort maps

2fort is very-very popular map. People are fighting 24/7 for sewers and for defending base.
So how about to add just 1 new map version of 2fort for a while?
There are so many cool maps, that completely as the original, but with a different theme.
For example:

2fort sunrise (Link)

Anyone got feedback on this? I doubt it's necessary, because it's a visual change (mostly) and requiring players to wait through a download process just to play 2fort is a bit of a turnoff for some I'd expect.

Hah. I forgot this thread still exists.
In 2019 i had an idea about a 24/7 2fort server but with a map rotation with different themes: sunrise, snow, rainy, night, etc.. that people could nominate and choose after a server map timer end.

And judging by the votes this type of server won't bring much interest.

well, as I said, my thoughts would be that people join 2fort for 2fort. it's instant, quick to join and guaranteed 2fort. Adding more map variants might be fancy, but it adds wait times for the server to download the map, and also during map changes. I doubt people join 24/7 servers for those wait times.

It would be a nice idea though, it's just I doubt others would catch onto this and support it.

Could you put it on a seasonal rotation, have the active map switch out every couple of months to keep things interesting without bogging the server down with needless map changes?

actually that's an interesting idea. we could make them limited-time, only rotated in every few months, and staying active for a short period of time, adjusting the period the map stays active based on feedback.
That would also avoid the issue of wait times during map swap.

Issue is how many people will actually make the switch to a different server if we are going that route, and how many people will not care/don’t even know the server exists and just keep playing on normal 2Fort
