Declined Activity needed to apply for admin

I think we should increase the activity needed to apply for admin, since most of our applicants applies as soon as they see the button appear. Its wasting time for admins when they gotta read through 3 applications a day which some of them I could screenshot in one picture on my iPhone.....
And also make it so you cant apply when you get denied until like a month later.
Here's an example of why

To be honest it's kind of useless to make it longer in my opinion. If people want to get to the time that's required to apply then they'll just leave their browser open and then they can instantly apply.

i think pablo means to increase amount of posts fo apply not game time

Also, I agree, mayby they can increase the requirements for amount of content made, recieved likes etc...
And @Drexils, if then it would be game and not browser time, spending time reading 1 yr old posts sounds even more ridiculous.

I personally don't think it's that important. Sure you'll get bad apps, but we have admins who applied as soon as they could and still had great apps. You're never not going to get bad apps unless you make the minimum requirement to 200 posts, but then the amount of admins that we'd get would drastically decrease, which is important due to the need for admins during certain dull hours. If it changes, it won't change by a lot, and won't stop bad apps from being created.

when I first joined I kept my browser open on Blackwonder and later on I saw that the admin application button appeared (dunno if there was a day between that or not).

So increasing the time before the button appears is useless in my opinion, as you can easily afk it. It's better to concentrate on actual activity on the forum, like writing helpfull comments and such.

I think increasing required post count will just make the forums more spammy due to the fact that people will try to boost their post count by replying to threads that are necro'd or have no business posting there.

And those will be things that admins have to keep their eyes out for .

If somebody wants to spam posts until they can apply, people will spam posts until they can apply. Upping the amount of posts required will just cause spam if anything.

I wanted to comment here for a while, increasing the time before you're allowed to apply is useless. Adding a timer before you can reapply is not just useless but actually hurts us. People should reapply when they feel ready, if they reapply prematurely that's a sign of them being careless. Some need 3 weeks to be ready, some need 4 months. If you tell them you can apply every month you're essentially encouraging them to do it and not letting them have full control.

Thank you for the reply Nuster! I suggested this because of the three or four apps we’ve received over the past few weeks that were just a joke and/or a waste of time. After all it is the admins who has any saying when it comes to applications. I simply felt like you guys just had to waste time on shitty and rushed applications. But that is obviously not the case!
I’m letting you admins decide whether or not to leave this thread open or not. ( I’m not saying close it, but if you feel like what I’ve said isn’t correct then you make the call)
