Whenever i join this server (85.117.240.3:27030) i get this annoying spikelag every 5 or 10 seconds, other blackwonder servers i join dont have this issue other than this one, i dont know if its because my internet (Which it migth be) or something related to the server's maintainment or anything else i dont know.

Other thing i noticed is that when i use the command "cl_netgraph 2" is that whenever this spikelag hits, the "In" value goes waaaay high and then goes to normal, just adding more information to this report.

if you claim the "in" spikes, that means the size of incoming packets are quite big during that moment.
Did you try the basic troubleshooting steps listed here to ensure it's not your internet provider?

Yes, but they mention about the IP, which i dont know how to get.

I tougth they mentioned this server IP (85.117.240.3:27030) but the cmd tells me that the procedure was a failure, so i tougth that was the wrong IP and the thread talks about other IP that i dont know how to get.

so in short, how do i get the ip?

when doing TraceRT please remove the port (the thing after the colon, so :27030)
if it's a single server however, I'll see if I can also personally investigate it.

Right. I ain't an expert, and this is what I know from the info given:
1. your connection is being routed to NY-Dallas-New York-Dallas-San Jose-Dallas
2. The net graph seems to show your internet cutting out, then a mass amount of data is being sent in, then the network cuts out, then mass data gets sent etc. Basically for a bit there is no connection, and once it's restored, double the data gets sent to TF2. Not sure what effect that is, but yeah, seems unstable.
I'll let bene know and see if he can make any sense of this.

Alright, this is what someone who knows more than me says:

Did you check your tf2 networking settings?

Maybe try these values:

or try googling some config that might help.

My config has some modifitactions on the newtwork and bandwidth that i changed, that also explains why when i play in other games i have around 20 or 10 ping when in tf2 i have 40 or 50 ping, damn...

Configs shouldn't affect ping as much, that's more ISP-reliant.
Configs mainly affect your connection like lagspikes. You've tried other configs yeah?

Okay, so i done everything by myself and nothing has worked, im going to be sincere into this, this is some bs dude, i mean why does only happen on this server, and not on any other ones, or any other games?.

i have a decent router that can connect to usa servers or any other ones in america that are near my country, around 40 and 60 ping, i wont accept this, i wont belive its my router's problem, yeah, maybe my router is making a long-ass connection to this server and maybe gives me more ping than other servers, but i dont think the spikelag is a cause mainly of my router, thats maybe the least of my problems, its the server, im going to be sincere i never had this kinds of spikelags that are so large in any game, i get small spikelags, yeah, but why always in a pattern, why only this server, why only me?

i say this "only me?" because today the whole server suffered a massive server lag and everyone got stucked on places, lagged out, or timed out the server, but i didnt, i didnt suffered the server lag, the only thing that affected is the same spikelag that is annoying me, nothing more, also i dont see anyone affected by this same problem, still many people get extremely bad ping (around 300 ping) but nothing out of the ordinary or anything that they share.

i say this "only server?" because i play alot of comm servers in tf2 and casual tf2 matchmaking, none of this servers (even other ones like wonderland.tf or ugc.tf dont have this problem) im starting to think this is a server problem, and not my router, my router (for what i know) is perfectly fine, i use ethernet connection, which makes the connection more stable and secure.

i will not say that im sure, or its a fact, but the server has the worst server maintainment i had ever witnessed, im sorry if any of this moderators read this, but its true, i appreciate Crappy's help, but for now, it didnt help, and noone is helping me than just myself in this situation.

and just for the record, i think people will say "why dont you join other server?".
yeah, its a good idea, actually, but 2 things;

- i also have this problem that SOME servers where i join, the game crashes completly, without any warning, idk why.
- i like 2fort (because this server is a 2fort server) and you dont tell me how to enjoy this game, i enjoy it playing it on this special map, i like this one than any other.

that's about all, cya.
