Not sure if this suggestion was made before but I quite like this idea as it makes demoknight not entirely useless when everyone else gains ammo he gets to have decent mobility and funny charge crits.

Yeah would be good and I think it is just an option in the jailbreak plugin by default iirc.

sounds like a good idea tbh, demoknights don't really have any major advantage from breaking into armory besides health (if the map doesn't have health kits in there then there is no advantage whatsoever)
Not sure if it's possible to be implemented however.

Considering how crap the guards are on most communities, and having personal experience playing chargedemo as a prisoner...

It's not a good idea. You will have a team of demoknights charge out and, with crits being disgusting for REDs, will usually kill whoever they can reach.
I remember an old, now long dead server that me and a few mates went on and did chargedemo. Unfortunately the Warden was an admin and got upset that for 15+ rounds they couldn't do anything as they were TERRIBLE BLUs, and he ended up banning me (and my mates) permanently for the reason: Shithead

It does offer some unique escape options though which can be quite fun, such as catapulting off the rooftops.

It would only be after they get ammo though. Demoman already has high dps with his stickies and pipes but adding the charge would give them a reason to actually just be handicapped for most of the round as they cannot charge before getting ammo. Also blues have permanent crits and getting close to them is very risky let alone charging in a straight line at them.

i actually agree with letting demomen being able to charge on certain lrs. just obviously not during normal rounds.

you're clearly saying red demoknights should be able to bhop at mach 10 on warday

They can already do so even better with the sticky jumper or with the cost of hp with stock which has more verticality and versatility than the simple shields.

i actually agree with letting demomen being able to charge on certain lrs. just obviously not during normal rounds.

It says when they get ammo my manson so they can't charge out the jump.

Hopefully the addition would make the shield at least somewhat viable compared to a sticky launcher/jumper which you can already use to bhop as Cyv mentioned.

Done, this was very easy to add as I just made the code that disables the charging do nothing after ammo has been picked up.
The other items will be looked into later, as those require a more in-depth look at how to reactivate them.
