I think we should add a menu option to have this enable itself or disable itself on join or just for the session

You could always bind it to a key and press it before you join a session.

that's what I personally do. when I join a match I press multiple binds including starting a demo recording, and using that speclist command.

I don't find it that annoying since I have to press a bind everytime I join, so it's one more button to press
