On what servers do you usually play on, and which servers would you like to moderate?
I am a jailbreak main, I also play x1000 but I don’t really wish to moderate that one. I would appreciate the opportunity to moderate the Jailbreak server.

Why would you like to become a moderator?
I’m applying because I am a Jailbreak main, I understand that the mod team has lives and cannot always be around, but I can definitely be a positive and active member for your team, watching everything that goes on in the server. I despise people looking the other way at rule breaking, etc. I know I have my priors but those were now over a year ago and I don’t think that should tarnish my record. This is one of the last two remaining (english) Jailbreak servers and having low moderation in any version in TF2 can really be a buzzkill. I just want to be one of the more active pieces that helps create a more stable environment for the server to thrive.

I have zero moderation experience in-game, I’ve run my fair share of discord servers in the past but nothing to the scale of what you all have in Blackwonder. I always have the rules in mind while playing even if there is a little bending due to how loose some of the rules can be presented (JB specific rules). As a rebeler main, I already have the rules in mind and understand that if accepted, I can’t just put the rules in my favor if I am killed if there's some sort of gray area. I’m also a very adaptable learner, you guys teach it to me in an hour and I’ll have it down in a day, but I also never hesitate to ask for help if it's needed. My main goal is for everyone to have FAIR fun, it is a game after all.

I’ve been playing on and off on Blackwonder servers for as long as I can remember, and as I previously mentioned Jailbreak is my #1 game mode in TF2, I haven’t strayed away from it and half of my steam friends list is people I’ve met through JB and still play other games with to this day.

How often do you play TF2?
I play around 1-4 hours a day depending (sometimes more), IRL can get in the way as it does for all of us, but if I got downtime there's a 95% chance I’m on Jailbreak.

Talking Over Admin During Mic Check
Warn → 30 min mic mute → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent mute.
If it happens to me directly, I’d just note the time and keep a short demo or clip.

Talking Over Warden
Same steps: Warn → 30 min mic mute → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent mute.

Impersonating Warden

I feel like I’ve explained my background and love for both TF2 and Jailbreak, this was the first steam game I ever downloaded and I’ve been consistently playing it ever since. I would just appreciate the consideration of the BW team to bring me on and give me a shot.

Being Offensive to Others
If someone’s being rude or offensive, I’d start with a warning. If they keep it up:
1 hour mute → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent mic/chat mute if it really doesn’t stop.
Proof I’d need if someone reports: Demo with timestamp, video, or screenshot showing who did it.
Proof I’d keep: Same — a demo or clear clip with timestamps, or a screenshot if that’s enough.


Spamming (Text or Voice)
Same idea, warn first, then:
30 min mute → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent mute if they don’t stop spamming.

Inappropriate Content (NSFW Sprays, etc.)
This is an instant permanent spray ban — no tolerance for that.

Armory Camping
Warn → Kick/Slay + Warn → 1 hour ban → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent ban.
Proof: Demo or video with timestamp and name.

With Armoury Camping, a ban will suffice for Red Team - we usually Teamban for Guards armoury camping.

Prisoners (Reds)
Invalid Custom LR
Warn + Deny → Warn again + Deny → 30 min ban → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent ban.
Proof: Demo or video with timestamp and name.

We don’t usually punish for invalid LR unless the issue really warrants it - like getting blues to MFK, Racial, or other intents up there. You can usually deny the LR and warn (verbally or officially) the red about their LR.

Mass Freekill/Freekill/Freekilling on Freeday
Warn + 30 min team ban → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent team ban.
Proof: Demo or video with timestamp and name.

I recommend splitting MFK and Freekill - they’re two seperate punishments with different circumstances. We also start at 1 Week for MFK.

Team Killing/Favoritism
Warn → 30 min team ban → 1 hour → 3 hours → 6 hours → 1 day → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent team ban.
Proof: Demo or video with timestamp and name.

Not sure why teamkilling and favouritism are together, they’re two completely different situations.

No Mic
1 day team ban → 3 days → 5 days → 1 week → 1 month → 3 months → 6 months → Permanent team ban.

For No Mic (and inaudible ones)) we jump straight to a perms Tban - no proof is required as they are usually instantly unteambanned as soon as they prove they have a microphone.

Wardens

Again not sure why these are combined, two seperate issues.

In general, I understand trying to reformat it your own way, and trying to condense it by conjoining rules, but the goal for this section is to show your understanding of the rules - by join in rules together you make it sound as if they’re the same when they’re not.

you’ve also forgotten a fair few jailbreak rules, notably under the Warden and Guard section. I recommend going back through the rules and adding them in where appropriate.

I also reccomend reading past applications, both accepted and declined for ideas on how to approach this section. As you’ve mentioned it’s important to it just copy and paste, but given the rules are the same they’re going to look pretty similar. There’s a clear distinction between copying and using something as a reference point.
