And if you go on his steam profile and check for aliases, he never named himself kolby.latham23

I dont know why it went to his profile, I couldve sworn it said his name. I guess he probably was using some cheat to change his in game name

I have never encountered anyone who could change his name and hide it from steam. Only time they could hide their true name is if they maxed out the limit by using random names till theirs disappears. This guy only had 3 names.

Also, it is possible to screw up when getting names through status in console. Everyone's names are so close to each other, it might look like you highlighted the correct SteamID, but you actually highlighted the SteamID of the guy below or above the one you were trying to get. This is assuming you grab your SteamID's this way. It's a mistake people make sometimes, which is why I dig deeper to ensure players send the right information.

Nevertheless, if you see this same person in-game, you can send their SteamID and I will take necessary action. Although I highly doubt they will keep the same name.
