Not knowing that breaking a breakable is auto-KoS doesn't mean they are pardoning/favoring the offender. There wouldn't be any blues left if this was the case. It would only be pardoning/favoring if they were objectively obvious rebels (e.g. grabbing ammo/taunt killing a blue or running away), or if they knew someone was KoS and let them live anyway.
