What is your type of punishment?
Ban

Where were you banned from? Servers

What is your SteamID? STEAM_0:1:621604237

Who has punished you?
Anti-Cheat System

Why were you punished?
Software that rigs my player hitboxes I suppose (Anti-Aim)

Why should we revoke your punishment?
On a certain server, I've seen a person that probably got good skill or some sort. Now hear me out, and don't call me mad, because that time I was too paranoid. He would hit shots from far away without scoping (I'm guessing just pure skill, regardless), I got too suspicious to the point I had to install a software that will prevent cheats like Aimbot/Spinbot to target the player to see if he actually was hitting these shots the Mann way or the Machine way, not realizing I had to face Anti-Cheat right after. Just remember I had to use Anti-Aim and Anti-Aim only. Thank you for reading my request.

That happens every now and then, tf2 is (mostly) a skill-based game. (seriously, screw random crits)

so you tested a player for cheats by installing a cheat?

Unfortunately, Anti-aim is a cheat, because it's a third party modification, and gives you an advantage over others - in this case, preventing the sniper from headshotting you.

Unfortunately, we don't unban cheaters. You should have not installed any third party modifications.
Thanks for your time, but we will not be removing the ban.

Alright, fine. I'll accept the deal, face reality.

Your answers:

Yes, it does. But really, sometimes people can go in, install anti-cheats (most commonly VAC bypasser), and do whatever they want with it. And it's hard to indicate them (very easy to mistake) nowadays, no big deal.

so you tested a player for cheats by installing a cheat?
The main point, yes. I did. Paranoia is common when I play Casual, hard being an F2P to call votes, whatever matches Valve has to offer. So I took a break from Casual and went to Community servers.

No-scoping aimbot, my comment that time when it happened.

I'll quickly add some things before locking the appeal.

Community servers aren't casual, however. We have additional anti-cheat functions on top of VAC, so generally speaking, community servers in general are more secure against cheaters. Doesn't mean we're perfect, but our anticheat does catch quite a few of em.

If you did suspect a person of cheating, you could've used !calladmin, or recorded them in spectator and reported them on the forums. Installing cheats yourself isn't a good response to that.

Alright, fine. I'll accept the deal, face reality.
Thanks for taking the appeal's rejection in a mature manner, I wish you all the best for the future.
