What is your type of punishment?
Ban

Where were you banned from? Servers

What is your SteamID? STEAM_0:0:420441719

Who has punished you?
CONSOLE

Why were you punished?
A couple of years ago my account was banned for: [SourceSleuth] Duplicate account which apparently means I had another account that was banned on this server.

Why should we revoke your punishment?
I don't know what happened, but I had no alt account that broke the rules on this server. Not to my knowledge. I am a law abiding citizen on tf2 and I have never broken rules. If there is an account that is somehow linked to my IP that got banned, I would like to know the nickname, so I can get to the bottom of this. I need to know why I was banned.

Hello,
your IP address got banned on May 21st 2023 with an account created on the same day. Coincidentally you then happened to get caught by SourceSleuth not even 24 hours after. Relevant data with obfuscated IP is attached in the reply. I have my reasons to believe you created the account, tried to cheat and got caught on your main in the aftermath.

And as per request the account initially caught is linked below:

I do not recgonize this account! I don't know what's going on! I did not make this account under any circumstances. I think someone may have hacked into my Wifi because there was a data breach on that day. If you give me a chance, I can prove that I didn't make the account.

You claim you have proof, could you share that?
I find it rather dubious that you remember that that exact day, years before, you had a data breach on your home network, and the person who breached your network just for some random reason decided to make a disposable account, and cheat on Blackwonder, a community server provider, instead of on any popular game, nevermind casual mode in TF2.

I have sadly used my password across 100 different sites because I didn't wanna forget it, so I'm not exactly sure which site had the data breach, but I can say is that someone may have hacked into my IP without my knowedge because I had gotten this email from steam. (names redacted due to privacy reasons). I bel;ieve the hacker had used a VPN, so that's why it says Brazil. I didn't think much of it until I had gotten this email from google letting my know my password was changed. Not even 2 minutes after I saw that email, I had gotten locked out of my account, and my internet had slowed down. This means someone had hacked into my computer and did some unauthorised stuff. I had actually been on vacation in Italy when this was happening, and when I returned home on the 22nd to get on blackwonder, I was banned. That's why I don't recgonize the account. I put all of this on god. I swear

Update: Now I know what happened! I had downloaded a fake OBS studio off of a website targeting creators like me. I had visited a site that looked exactly like obs (this site was sponsored btw so that's why it came up before OBS Studio's actual site). I had downloaded a virus that was essentially team viewer without my consent. It was designed to gain access to my computer and I didn't even know it until after all this nonsense. I tried to open it but it wouldn't open, so I just went to bed that night because the next day (May 20) was when I had to go visit someone in Italy. while I was gone I had gotten an email from steam that someone was trying to access my account. 5 minutes later, I get an email from google on my backup email address saying that my account password was changed and I got locked out of my main account on my phone. I hopped on a plane and didn't know anything was going on. I then told the person I was visiting to look up my youtube channel, and the hacker had changed my name to "Ripple" and they were live streaming crypto scams whilst sub botting on MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT! I then told my friend that I think I may have downloaded a virus, but I didn't know it yet. I couldn't do anything because I was on holiday. May 21 arrives and my channel gets banned. I tried to look for the nearest flight back home but it wasn't until the 22nd. I think that''s when the hacker had made an account while having access to my computer and cheated on your server and that's why I'm banned. When I get home, and talk to google support about my account, and thankfully they reinstated it, but I didn't know anything happened on tf2 until when I tried to access blw and was hit with a "youre banned" message. So that's what happened. And then I discovered lots of people have been scammed this way on youtube as well.

I forgot to mention that I have a screenshot of what the hacker had done to my channel that I had taken while I was signed out. I also forgot to mention that they had traded all my skins on tf2 to their account. I forgot their gamertag because again I wasn't aware of this until after I had gotten the youtube situation taken care of.

After internally discussing with the team, we have decided we will not be removing your ban due to insufficent proof.
