Hello There!


My name is Grandpa #Blw.tf (I added the Blw.tf because I’m the most common player to ever be there, so I kinda deserve a reward. ANYWAY I would like to Apply for Mod applications Because why not? I’ve been playing tf2 for like ALONG time and those casual games in tf2 are starting to get boring so I told myself… “Why don’t I just start playing tf2 community servers? So then the topic “Jailbreak” begins… I started off with Panda. I don't remember how long I’ve been there but it should be for a couple years now then I started Wonderland… just 1 year I’m guessing or a couple months can’t really remember BUT then I saw Blackwonder. I told myself again, “What an interesting server, I would like to join this community!” And then it began the server that I should have joined a long time ago, it started off laggy… it had to load like every plugin in that server with warden markers and other random plugins. But I managed through it pretty fine. The issue started to lower down and I got the chance to actually play properly. Now I was playing normally. People loved me. I had this elderly man's voice impression and they were going crazy after that when I slowly stopped using it they asked me to do the impression but I kinda just layed it off with a lie and said I was “sick” and can’t do it. Anyway so this is how it started, I was normally playing couple of jailbreak rounds (as always) then these toxic guys come in and start dissing on everyone and even when the warden talks they keep telling him to “Shut the f#ck up” and other words I’d rather not like to say like the n-word and all that stuff they even harassed a woman normally playing warden and started saying “Go clean the dishes or random fire her without a reason and saying other despicable stuff I’d rather not say in this application it was basically almost like the whole server. I wish I was able to screenshot/record that moment but nooo when I do that in tf2 it doesn’t do anything other than not giving me a response. (but no worries, I’ll have that fixed in no time) and talking about the topic “rulebreakers” these people are everywhere mostly when staff are off the most, no one can really do anything about it (unless they report it) which I don’t see and these people are still in the server playing normally, that's basically the whole sorry on how it begins, that's what really motivated me into becoming an staff to stop these people and make sure our jailbreak server is a playable platform to play normally instead of getting rulebreakers or hackers to ruin their day. And of course Blackwonder wouldn’t like that. So there's me, I’m an average Jailbreak player (Experienced) . I always read rules before joining ANY server because if I join without reading them, I’ll just casually do things I’m not allowed to. Going back to the question “Why I would like to become a moderator” I’m strict when it comes to moderating. (sorta) often would get outta hand. I would rather work as a team but often I do work myself.

Hi, just gonna go over your application real quick.

You do not have 3 days of playtime on your account. Remember we're not asking if you've played on our servers 3 separate days, we're looking for at least 72 hours of playtime.

No official punishments on record. You have one warning from August 28. You should also theoretically have another warning from August 25 for Illegal FF

I'll start with the general rules that are applied across all of our servers regardless of the gamemode:

Mic-Spam: [Mute] [2 hours]

One of the overarching problems in this section is that you seem to apply the same exact punishment for each instance of a particular offense. Suppose you mute a player for 2 hours for micspamming and they immediately resume after their mute has expired. Then what?

For bans related to cheating, what would you use to record evidence?

Same concern as the micspam comment- are you just going to warn someone when they break the rules? What if they don't stop? And a larger issue: what do you mean by rulebreaking? This section is meant for you to show us that you know the rules that you'll be needing to enforce. That requires you to be specific. Our servers have lots of rules to follow, and just as many if not more specific too the gamemode you're applying for. Giving a singular warning for "rulebreaking" doesn't show us that you know the rules or how they're punished.

Racism is not punishable by a permanent ban

Mass-Freekill: [Perm guard-ban], [Ban 3 days] or [more depending], [appeal in the website]

Freekill (If they don't slay): [I'll slay them myself and if they continue 1 hour guard-ban, etc.]

MFK is not punishable by a permanent guardban on the first offense nor is it punishable by a ban

"There are so many staff and no one is doing there job" then this staff said "we don't have to play everyday in order to check up on you guys or be active all day."

To clarify, moderating is voluntary, and not required. Activity is of course encouraged but not mandated. It's just not reasonable to ask for staff to be on the servers 24/7. However I hope you'll notice that rulebreakers are still being punished, so it's not that "no one is doing their job." Players help us by reporting rulebreakers when there isn't a staff member online. This can be done in multiple ways:

- Discord's #requesthelp channel lets users ask questions or report players
- Ingame !calladmin command lets users send in time-sensitive alerts for active rulebreakers
- Reporting via Forums
- Reporting via Discord Ticket (NEW)

The first two methods may not always get a timely response but it makes it easier by letting us know when there's something on the servers that need our attention. Reporting through forums or Discord guarantees a response, and ALL of these help YOU familiarize yourself with the rules and how they're punished. I heavily recommend utilizing them because it helps you, us, and the community.

This application lacks a general understanding of the rules, both generally and those specific to Jailbreak. You also need more playtime, but don't miss out on turning this into an opportunity to acquaint yourself with the already available resources to deal with rulebreakers.
