If warden states he's going to enable ff waits 3 seconds then enables ff is that legal?

Or does he have to state "I'm turning on ff" then do a countdown cause technically he gave that 3second period? I've heard mixed opinions from people and I am just curious

As far as I know, the warden only has to give a warning that FF will be turned on.

Warden just needs to give ample warning. They can do a countdown but it's not necessary.

I have rarely seen a warden do a countdown before enabling FF - reds just need a heads up before doing so whether it be delayed or not.
