“it’s a shame that no one in power can comprehend the simple fucking fact that if you’re new to the game, you’ll probably get destroyed by veterans who know the ins and outs and that’s a part of the process”

This was an argument made by a person new to dodgeball, who understands exactly what CQC is and experiences getting upset over it. But they have enough knowledge to also understand that they are playing on the advanced server, not the easy server. CQC has always been a part of dodgeball and always will be, and there is no changing the fact that most of the community views any rules currently set up for CQC as a joke whilst playing the advanced server, for players who should have the skill and knowledge to counter it. Whether the rules remain on the easy server is up to you as a staff team, but putting rules on the advanced server to put the more ADVANCED players at a handicap, is unfair and unwanted. The term advanced is generally defined by most as “far on or ahead in development progress”, or a relative scramble of similar words to that. It is expected that if players play on a server that you call advanced, they should be able to use advanced tactics and the rules should not be the same as on an “easy” server. Based on the complete view of any blocking, insta blasting, or close quarters rules in general as a joke, it is obvious that this community wants, and deserves some change. Getting rid of Close Quarters Combat rules on the advanced server would be a great start to giving this community a refreshed look, rather than being seen as a joke by other communities. Thank you for giving me your time, and I hope to see you have taken into mind your daily community’s opinions, rather than just doing what you think is right.
