Hello everyone of BLW who will read this, especially to the people I’ve caused harm to.
I used to go by the name “Oak”, but I now go by “Chiruno” as part of moving on from the negativity I associate with my past behaviour and identity. If possible, I’d really appreciate being referred to as “Chiruno” from now on.
I am writing to sincerely apologise for all my past behaviours and troubles I have caused which eventually led to my ban. Without going into too much detail for the sake of those I have hurt, I’ve realised just how badly my prior actions must have felt towards the people involved, and I genuinely wish I could go back and stopped myself from ever doing such things. I am fully, truly, and legitimately sorry, and I completely understand if my apology isn’t good enough for what I’ve done.
Last year as it all occurred; I had a lot of personal issues going on in my life and I allowed that to affect how I was acting online. This isn’t an excuse for my behaviour but context I felt is important, and those problems have since been resolved. Since then, I’ve also spent a lot of time reflecting on what happened, what I did wrong, and how I handled things. I’ve made real efforts to work on myself and grow into someone better from the experience.
Being away from the server for a year has given me time to focus on my real life – with studying geology at university, working on my mental health, and becoming more grounded emotionally. I’ve had a lot more positive experiences ever since I put the effort in to change, and this allowed me to realise how important it is to respect community spaces and the people in them, regardless of how close or distant my relationships with others may feel online.
I don’t expect instant forgiveness, and I understand that trust takes time to rebuild. All I will ask for is a second chance to return to Blackwonder, not as the old person I was, but as someone completely different who has learned, grown, and is committed to doing better. I won’t repeat the same mistakes I made again, and I’m willing to be monitored and limited on the servers and Discord if that is deemed necessary.
As to why I made this appeal and wish to rejoin Blackwonder, I want to be a part of the dodgeball community again. It’s one of my favourite game modes and I’ve made some real good friends playing it. There’s also class wars which I’d love to play again, I have many great memories from there and overall had a really fun time playing Blackwonder in the past, and this time I’ll come back as someone better.
While I likely won’t be as active on the Discord as I once was, I may occasionally join in a conversation that interests me or share photos of interesting places I visit in the lifestyle channel. My main intention is to quietly return to the community, enjoy the game modes I love, and respect the space that others have built.
Although I could only select one option above, I am requesting to be unbanned from the Servers, Forums and Discord. I understand each platform has its own rules and moderation, and I’m fully prepared to follow them respectfully moving forward.
