I moderated Crappy Medical Menn (CMM) in 2013 during its establishment phase; consisting of a single server called CMM Fun Maps. Maps such as: minecraft, trade, mario kart ,custom maps and regular maps were rotated based on player votes. The server was fairly small with a max player count of 16 people and the majority of regular players would be moderators/admins. Therefore, moderation was active but the server was too small and rule breaking was too limited- where moderation commands were rarely used. A year later, in 2014, I was resigned from my role as moderator due to my busy transition to high school with the vast amount of my time being spent on school transition, homework and sports.

In 2014, after my moderation of CMM Fun Maps; Astrak (server owner) created a Jailbreak server which exponentially grew in popularity in its first few months . CMM grew into one of the largest Jailbreak communities in a very short time but its servers have now been discontinued.

Knowledge of admin commands

I'm aware of the basic moderator commands from my experience moderating the fun maps server, but will need to learn some more extensive commands that are used in Jailbreak (such as checking previous punishments to use the ladder chain for multiple offences).

Blackwonder AUS Jailbreak

Why do you want to become an admin?

Throughout my years playing Jailbreak in Australia, Blackwonder AUS without a doubt has been the least actively moderated in comparison. This is most likely due to the lack of a dedicated Australian moderation team. From my knowledge, Blackwonder's moderation team is mainly located in (NA, EU, UK, SEA) and the moderation is very limited in AU. Hence, to help Blackwonder's community grow in Australia, to assist in making its servers more enjoyable for everyone by enforcing its rules and to address the ongoing complaints for lack of moderation; I have decided to apply for admin.

In my 6 years of playing Jailbreak, I've never considered applying for a moderator/admin position considering that AU's previous Jailbreak servers have all been moderated actively with at least one admin on the server during peak hours to help regulate rule breaking. Consequently, on these servers - players abusing rules such as mass free killing would be punished accordingly and rule breakers would receive punishment the majority of the time.

In the long term, due to the active moderation teams- mass free killing intentionally was very rare and only occurred with new players playing Jailbreak for the first time. As a result, a well moderated server helped new players learn how to play Jailbreak as rule breakers were temporarily restricted from the BLU team, hence they could learn all the rules by playing on the red team. A well moderated JB community assisted with the growth of the Jailbreak in Australia in becoming one of the more popular game modes as players ruining the fun for others were punished which encouraged rule learning and participation.

Frequently occurring offences without moderator/admin attendance from my time on Blackwonder include:

-Mass Free killing
-Free killing
-Playing on BLU without a microphone OR with an inaudible microphone.
-Donor Abusing (Most overlooked offence) such as: Slaying/Muting/Gagging/Team banning without reason
-Mic Spamming
-LR Denial
-Killing during a repeat
-BLUs griefing (e.g. Shooting soccer balls during soccer, Shooting bowling balls without permission, Hitting buttons without permission etc.)
-Use of markers to kill reds (Recent addition)
-Using markers as kill orders (recent)

An alarmingly high rate of these offences are regularly left unattended ; resulted from the lack of Australian located moderators during peak hours. To prevent the common occurrences from occurring, an active team of domestic Australian moderators will further enhance Blackwonder's community in AU.

With everything considered, I decided I want to apply for a moderator position on Blackwonder due to the lack of a dedicated Australian moderation team and to assist the community; to help it grow and be a better experience for everyone.

Experience with the Jailbreak Community

I have been involved with the Australian Jailbreak Community for 6 years since 2013 and the CS:GO Jailbreak Community for 2 years. Hence, I am well accustomed to the rules and am quite knowledgeable in terms of Jailbreak.

I can tell you've put a lot of work into this application and I commend you for it. The only real issue I see with you, which is hardly an issue in my opinion, is your chatlogs. I can tell you are a genuine person despite never playing with you, however, it's clear that we all have our days:

Obviously, August 12th may not have been your day. I'm in no place to judge your chatlogs since I swear like a sailor in real life, but as long as we tone it down, I see you as fine in that regard.

I do have one other, tiny concern though: TFStats says that you have 3.5 total days of playtime on AUS JB (which is fine in my opinion,) however, your first recorded appearance on AUS JB was only a little over 2 weeks ago. I think with a little more playtime, you've sealed the deal as an AUS JB Moderator.

I'm not the one to make the final decision, but I wish good luck.

Sorry for the delayed reply and thank you for taking time out of your day to provide constructive feedback and criticism regarding my application; I genuinely appreciate it.

In response to my chat logs - Yes, I do agree that derogatory and profanity on my part can get out of hand sometimes especially if I am irritated or annoyed with spamming whether it be in chat/voice and free killing. I strongly agree that moderators should set high standards to limit profanity as children often play on the servers where they also have an aspect as role models in the TF2 community.

Furthermore, regarding my TFStats of play time with my first recorded appearance over 2 weeks ago ; I do believe that is slightly under minimum requirements, but in that time, I have been able to socialise with most of the Jailbreak community; in tandem, I have learnt the server specific rules and also by having a great time in general playing on the server.

I apologise for not giving you a heads up before adding your name to my Moderator Application; In addition, I apologise in advance to Console and Shot - as I have failed to give them a heads up as well.

The criticism regarding the punishment section has been useful and I now have a further grasp on the severeness of racism on the server. As a result, I have applied all your feedback to my Moderator Application.

Moreover, I feel a guide for the first few days would work wonders for me to quickly adapt to the role of moderator - by learning how to respond to different situations and by learning commands.

I am slightly confused why you messed with your font color, unless you were copying and pasting things. I believe this is the first time I have ever complained about formatting, but it's just odd. Reviewing your logs, your language has mostly cleaned up but it shows your inexperience with identifying cheaters. Although in Jb, that is not as big of a deal .

Yes in some parts of my application, my font colour changes. This is because my monitor has a blue light filter enabled and colour reproduction on it is fairly poor, accompanied with low brightness. When editing my application to make changes or to fix a section in my app for my preferred chain of punishment - I couldn't distinguish between the font colours with the lack of colour accuracy in the monitor, hence the different font colour used. Even right now, I can barely tell the difference between the different font colours and only notice in when I am reading on my phone.

Regarding my lack of knowledge for identifying cheaters, I strongly believe I can tell when an individual is using hacks. As a matter of fact, I have been compiling evidence relating to the screenshot above for auto-back stab and fake lag, but it has been very difficult as spectating a player to record the demo results in them disabling the hack. This is why I have been constantly asking a moderator to spectate the mentioned player invisibly for auto back stab and to record a demo, as I cannot record sufficient evidence when I am spectating where his hacks are switched off; but no action was taken. The accused hacker would say that the fake lag was a result of a "VPN" , but this was not the case as it shows in chat he has connected from Australia, and he would explain his 99% back stab rate from "cl_interp". The admin admitted he was not experienced with hacks, so not much was done and I have been recording my own demos to attempt to ban him on the forums.

I didn't have trouble identifying hacks, instead I had trouble identifying "cl_interp". When I was accusing this player of hacks, everyone would resort to say he was using "cl_interp" and that he wasn't hacking, which I believed was BS. However, after watching a video about interp -I found out it just delays your actions and does not suddenly increase your back stabs to the point where you land 99% of back stabs when a guard's back is parallel to the hacker.

This player had a new account, a 99% back stab rate and very high ping which was definitely sus, but only a few batted an eye.

This mentioned cheater was perma banned yesterday by Wanka for fake lag and having played competitive CS:GO at a high level (Legendary Eagle) where hackers are regularly present- I would say I am fairly accustomed to different hacks, so I do not believe I have "trouble identifying cheaters".

Hope this clarifies any issues regarding my logs and application.
