I'm not quite sure why this would matter. It's like using a cheat software, and thinking your ban would be removed if the cheat software was discontinued and not usable anymore.

Exactly. You were using wallhack and you´ve banned for that.
I am glad you decided to stop cheating by your own or because it was fixed, but no unban for cheaters.
