Answered Ammo glitch wtf

i went on a jb server and there was a mass rebel that started by a heavy picking up a tomi of the ground and the blus died
i found out how to do this so
1.find a weapon on the ground thats usable and ur class
2. pick it up (default bind: h)
3.switch to it
i dunno if this is illegal or not

I don’t quite think that’s a glitch since that’s how picking up weapons is intended to work. I don’t think it’s bannable but you would definitely be a rebel for picking up a gun with ammo.

I think they're talking about how to get ammo without actually picking up an ammo pack

That weapon that rebel heavy picked up MIGHT have a ammo inside of the weapon.

Without proper context I have to assume that the weapon originally belonged to a blue and thus already had ammo. If reds have some way of getting ammo from emptied weapons feel free to make a thread in Problems about it. Otherwise, see Jim's response.
