Title says it all!

I'm getting a big back pay due to pay rise :D

So I'm now down to the decision in getting a GTX 1080 or a VR headset... I currently have a GTX 970 FYI.

1080 all day. (even tho its more expensive than my life)
I would only buy vr if you have 1060 or 1070 cause its not worth upgrading due to the price of the 1080 being so expensive, Instead I would wait till the price goes down but its up to you.

I'd say 1080 even though the 970 is already a good GPU. While the VR headset is fun and something different you'd probably get bored after a while because of the limited games as of now.

VR has a few decent titles worth looking into, but nothing long-term other than maybe DOOM VFR. Upgrading to a 1080 would be the wiser choice.

For sure 1080. Honestly, I would wait a bit more and gather up some more money and buy a 1080Ti, that way you're future-proofed for at least the next few years, and you're 110% VR ready.

Didn't even know of the Ti that was out xD I might just get that one lol, its a big back pay :p
Edit: fml just realised I might just have to get the original one, as I need to get another monitor again to make it 3 monitors >.< Currently have 2x DVI-D and 1x HDMI, the 1080 I was looking at had 1x DVI-D 1x HDMI and 2DP

Cost me £480 or so for the card, had to order another case for my PC, which cost another £160 lol turns out the measurements online can be inaccurate.
