I got muted for something I said, I truly don't know what it was, Is it like on a timer, am I forever muted? What is the deal?

I was muted for overtalking on monday,I was muted but it said I was muted today is that supposed to happen because if not I was supposed to be unmuted Wednesday. Please someone help me.
