Most of not all EU servers are down due to the locations that servers are situated at being moved iirc. You’ll have to play on American servers for the time being. They’ll be back up soon.

This has always been declined mostly because the guards are supposed to have the upper hand regardless of the situation, I’d agree that it’s a little unfair at times, though. Would a nocrits only jailbreak server work, I wonder?
