This is what I have. It will likely get me through another 2-3 years before I think about upgrading anything. A better AMD machine can be built for what this would cost, but I got a silly deal on an open box unit.

  • Intel Core i7-8700K Processor 3.7GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070Ti 8GB GDDR5
  • 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM
  • 1000GB Solid State Drive
  • 3 TB HDD
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
  • 24x DVD±RW Drive
  • 10/100/1000 Network
  • 802.11ac Wireless
  • Bluetooth 4.2
  • 1-23inch, 2-27inch monitors
I may end up putting it in a pretty case though.

build something with ryzen pls

my specs are pretty garbongo for how much i spent on a bad prebuilt but i cant time travel
- Intel Core i5-7400
- Stock Cooler
- Asus H310 Motherboard for prebuilts
- 1x8GB + 1x4GB Kingston DDR4-2400
- 1TB Seagate Barracuda Compute
- Asus GTX 1050 for prebuilts
- cool looking asus case even without a clear side panel
- Sketchy Power Supply

peripherals are another story
- Asus VG248QE 144hz 1ms
- HyperX Cloud II
- Inexperienced keyboard build (KBD75, Gateron Clears, Dye-sub OEM Profile PBT keycaps)
- Zowie Divina S2
- SteelSeries Qck+

please dont spend as much money on peripherals as i did

  • Ryzen 7 3700X ~ Stock RGB Cooler
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6
  • 32GB DDR4-3000 RAM
  • 256GB Solid State Drive
  • 6 TB HDD
  • 650 Watt PSU
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
  • Standard Network Card (Good WiFi and Bluetooth but use Ethernet when possible)
  • 1 120+ HZ Monitor (Resolution at least 1920*1080)
  • At least 1 secondary monitor (Resolution doesn't matter as much but the higher the better)
Is what I run. Highly recommend my components except try and get a Super series RTX card as they have noticeably better power draw and some other stuff.

1. that 2700x ($300) is heavily overpriced, which is taking a large chunk out of your budget
2. motherboard is too expensive
3. ram could be faster
4. you only need 240 gb of storage?
5. 1660 is underwhelming for a $1000 budget
6. what in the heck is that case

made you two parts lists - one for peak performance, one for aesthetics to make you feel bad about missing out on performance. dont forget peripherals

I am mainly doing video edit and live stream sometime. about number 4 I have extra storage lay around in my house and can be used. I preferred RGB as well. Also, I try under 1,000 dollars or at least 800 dollars.

depends.
it's like saying AMD is better than intel when you take their best vs intel's worst and vice-versa.

There are many things to compare, and it's subjective most of the time. A few factors I look at are:
- price
- compatibility with other parts
- performance
- memory
- additional features
- warranty/age of the card
