Please note that what I am saying here are simply ideas of which I believe will help better jailbreak as a whole, I am not trying to come off as whiny and annoying by simply putting out my thoughts & feedback on the matter.

I would like to propose a few rules be changed for the jailbreak gamemode to help the gamemode become a bit more fun and enjoyable whilst keeping to it's core and not ruining the whole role playing experience, If you disagree with one of my points below please feel free to tell me why in a reply.

Here's a list of rules I think need to be changed.
You may never "pardon" a red for them to no longer be considered KOS. Once a red rebels, they are considered such until the round ends.

This to me ultimately destroys a very important part of rebelling, you are not able to manipulate and / or attempt to try different methods of rebelling making rebelling a pretty boring thing to do if you are able to achieve it over and over again, The ability for rebels to be pardoned allows the prisoners to help understand the boundaries of a warden and ultimately helps dictate how a rebel, rebels!

Banned Minigames - Shark
I am not sure as of why Shark is banned on jailbreak, it is a minigame that kills off reds at the flip side being a blue, I understand it can be used to force last guard, but a simple way around this is just straight out not allowing shark with 2 people or less. I can also see on the flipside of the coin, that it can be considered Mass Freekill, but this to me is not exactly the same as a gamemode such as Dodge The Rocket due to the fact Shark involves using your melee weapon, which puts you as a blue player, right with the reds.

Banned Minigames - Dodge The Rocket
Going back to my last point with Shark, I believe the flip side of the coin should be used for Dodge the Rocket, it is a literal form of Mass Freekill which intentionally kills a big heap of reds at one time, dodging critical rockets is like dodging your mums jandel, you just can't do it.

No ammo & no breaking vents
I personally believe the idea of disallowing non-rebels from picking up ammo & breaking vents is sort of stupid, especially when it comes to freedays & rebel tactics. You can always add a system to search prisoners aswell as if a guard sees you with rebel, you are done. The act of picking up ammo and breaking vents, announcing it to the server and ruining any way of hidden rebelling & screwing around as a freeday, is rather stupid to me.

Other than that, I think the jailbreak rules are pretty solid and do a good job at keeping players happy, it's tweaking to get the maximum fun out of a gamemode that relies on fun whilst not ruining the gamemode as well.

I too hate when my get out of jail free invincibility card cannot be exploited to easily rebel, And dying for ammo? Unforgivable.

In regards to being a normal rebel, the differencing factor should be whether you are caught with ammo, not the act of picking it up.

As for free days, what is the point of a free day if you’re unable to be free?, having weapons are an important part of being a free day and removing them feels like free day is much less of a prize LR then it should be, not too mention the system is buggy anyway and has reported false ammo picking before.

The point of this rule is to prevent favoritism and prevent obvious rebels from being pardoned by their friend who is the warden.

I assume you mean gladiator. Gladiator and other similar games have been banned because they are essentially Freekill and don’t really explore the unique maps and game modes that each map brings. It’s pretty easy for a zatoichi demo knight to kill 15 reds.

The point of removing freeday when a freeday picks up ammo is to remove the invulnerability from them. If a freeday sniper picks up ammo, they shouldn’t be able to have their sniper out waiting for the perfect headshot while the guards can’t do anything because they are still a freeday. The point of freeday is to not be restricted to the wardens orders and have a day where you can just roam the map.

I agree for the 1st and 3rd but not for the 2nd and 4th.

The first one always confused me as it makes rebelling have less variety. I always loved those moments (in other servers) where the warden accidentally pardons a rebeller and has to roll with it. Maybe change it to not being allowed to pardon a red who has ammo instead of a red who is KOS so that rebellers can do plays where they pretend they don't have ammo to be pardoned and then do a sneak attack on the warden.

I'm not familiar with Shark Day so I can't really say much about that apart from what Tax Fraud said which is that it's "essentially [a] Frekill".

Lastly, your point for removing the last one is kinda weak. Just because you have freeday shouldn't mean you are free to have ammo. Also, I don't get what you mean by "disallowing non-rebels from picking up ammo" when picking up ammo would turn the non-rebel to a rebel.

The TL;DR version for why this is a bad idea:

Enables favoritism, basically freekill the game, basically mass freekill the game, freedays are for exploring the map or spectating the round and not a "get out of jail free card" to snipe. Yes spies can still wait for a backstab, but warden can still kill them if they enter their melee range (forcebaiting).

The thing I don’t understand with “enabling favouritism” is it quite simply should be restricted to pardoning the red group as a whole, not down to 1 person pardoning, this allows for more rebel tactics + removing the idea of favouritism, on top of that favouritism is very easy to spot and staff can simply punish the people behind it. (I should have made this clear in my original post)

I can understand the pov of when you are a free day and pick up ammo and you become a rebel, at core that works perfectly and thinking about it, it’s probably more of a biased thing since I’ve played it with this rule not in tact for years.

As for breaking vents, my point still applies and as a free day, breaking vents does ruin some ways to explore the map, see the different ways to gain ammo (without picking it up) and have a look at different passages the map offers.

Cause having the ability to open breakables and by extent armoury for your friends without being kos wouldn't ruin the flow of jailbreak or be overpowered?

It's not the idea of helping your friends rebel, it's the idea of exploring the map & finding out new things to do in the next round.
Helping your friends rebel through the use of freedays is borderline freeday abuse is it not?

There isn't a thing as "borderline freeday abuse" it either is or it isn't, Being in armoury is kos. Freeday or not. I cannot think of a map off the top of my head that requires you to break a breakable to explore the map which doesn't make you a rebel upon breaking

I feel like I should pitch in on this just a tiny bit.
I agree that Freeday is basically just a day for exploring the map and learning what to do next round, but I do believe that the KOS upon breaking/hitting a vent/breakable should stay in place. Otherwise it's unfair and you're giving an advantage to other rebels in the future of that round.
