So before I say why I just want to briefly mention that sourceban is really janky in regards to Forumbans. I had to wait a day just to see my forumban on the sourceban to know why I was even banned. Additionally, it says on the source ban that it's a 4 day ban (meaning it would expire tomorrow) when it's actually a 6 day ban (because I was banned on Sunday if my memory serves correct and it expires this Saturday).

So now for my actual reason: I said 'Erectile Fecal Matter' in the chat box, and not only did it get removed it also apparently warranted a forumban for griefing. That is the most subjective ban I have ever seen in my entire TF2 career. You can't argue that considering this to be griefing isn't an opinion, because it is. And it's not even a popular opinion, I decided to do a poll in discord and 7 people said it isn't griefing while 1 person said it is griefing.

I want to talk about the rules here. So before sourceban updated to show my forumban the only info on my ban was that I violated the rules, so I checked the rules and realized that they were basically non-existent.

The first one isn't a rule, it's a command that says "follow the rules" as if it isn't implied by the existence of rules. And I have no idea what the second one means. I recently (like two hours ago) found out that you can actually look at the history of the rules and realized that there were never any rules for the forums (since the early versions where general rules for the actual servers). So I basically do not have ANYWHERE to even CHECK if "no griefing" is a rule. But more importantly, I have nowhere to check HOW griefing is explained to see if what I said in chat box would be considered griefing.
So let's look at the big picture here. I said Erectile Fecal Matter in the chat box, and it apparently violated a rule, that isn't clearly said or explained ANYWHERE. Cool.

Now I want to talk about the nature of chat box. What is the purpose of chat box? To chat, right? Yeah, you can chat, but it also serves as a place to just say random shit, whether it be your thoughts, jokes, or memes. So why is it that when I put something random in the chat box I get banned for it? It doesn't add up when Valjko Ristic says "big big chungus big chungus big chungus" and doesn't get banned. It makes no sense going for me particularly. The person who banned me was Kerknor and I don't really know if he holds some sort of grudge against me because I don't think any reasonable admin who would actually do this. This situation sounds like something people would joke about in servers.

If this ends up getting appealed I'm pretty sure that would mean Kerknor abused his powers, would it not? Again, this is speculation. Maybe he genuinely thought that Erectile Fecal Matter is an attempt at """""""""trolling""""""""" the server.

Kerknor had nothing to do with your forum ban. That happened as a result of you breaking rules by either spamming, insulting people etc on the forum and TWO different staff gave you warning points.



Friday was Puddin' and Saturday was 10k Cold Knights.

I was actually on the server March 22nd, while you were doing this. You had been gagged by Azzy for being toxic for 1 day, so you began continuously reconnecting, to spam the chat.




Between the servers and the forum, you have been punished by Azzy, Kerknor, Puddin', 10k, and Raven in the last month. For either being toxic or griefing.

And how was I supposed to know that? It says in the sourceban that Kerknor banned me, and any non-admin would assume that Kerknor banned me. Just some more sourceban shenanigans.

No, I want the rules to be typed out. There are two multiplatform rules and one of them is a rule that says to follow the rules. I don’t understand how you can’t wrap your head around the fact that I want to know what is defined as griefing, because if it isn’t defined you can define anything as griefing as long as you try hard enough.

When the fuck did I ever spam? All I did was put Erectile Fecal Matter ONCE in the chat box. Spamming would be sending the same thing multiple times. So if I put Erectile Fecal Matter 5 times in the chat I would understand where you’re coming from, but alas, that didn’t happen. I looked at all my past post history, here’s a list of all my insults on the forums:

This is the only insult I’ve made. One. O n e. As Puddin squared would say, “Unfortunate, really.” Banning me for one insult I made 1 and a half week ago doesn’t make any sense, and if that were the case then that would actually JUSTIFY my appeal.

Why are you talking about my past server bans as if that has literally anything to do with my forum appeal? You have 4 sentences that actually have to do with my appeal and then the rest are just an ass blast to the past. Me getting banned from the server doesn’t justify me getting banned from the forums. “You spammed chat by connecting and reconnecting”, how the fuck am I supposed to respond to something that has literally nothing to do with the matter at hand. The reason I brought up my past bans and comms in the Kerknor appeal was because I knew that an admin would bring it up. But NEVER would I have expected for it to be brought up in a FORUM BAN APPEAL. FORUM. KEY WORD: FORUM.

One final (and very minor) problem I have with your reply is that you say ‘between the servers and the forum, you have been punished’. No, I have been punished in the SERVERS for being toxic. This is my first ban on the forums and I’m appealing it because of how ridiculous it is. Again, I said Erectile Fecal Matter in chat. The message got deleted, and my account got forum banned after that. That’s how I got banned, and that is what is being considered ‘griefing’. So your next reply should include how saying Erectile Fecal Matter ONCE in the chat box is considered griefing.

Nevermind, the griefing is for a different thing so basically my entire argument is dead. Guess you win *throws confetti*
