*Gamemode Idea* King of the Thing

The concept of the gamemode

- 6+ Players
- All players are the same class (Chosen randomly, voted or picked by a donator)
- 2 Teams
- Needs a custom map (Or can re-use a prophunt map)

When the game starts, everyone gets 10 seconds of speed and Uber. Then, on a random place, a weapon drops (Same as when you kill a player). The weapon can be picked up. When this happens, a timer starts counting down (Just like a KOTH capture point). When the timer ends, the team that had the weapon when the timer ran out wins!

- The custom weapon that drops can have a buff (Like 10% Damage bonus)
- Before the match starts, players can vote (or Donators can pick) to either have a normal round, a round with Grappling hooks, or a round with Mannpower powerups spawning around the battlefield.
- The timer should be around 3-7 minutes.

Interesting idea. This concept reminds me of the "Rainmaker" gamemode for Splatoon, WHICH IS COMPETITIVE AS HELL.

For those who do not know, the "Rainmaker" gamemode consists with two teams trying to carry a "super weapon" to a specific point on the opposing side. The weapon is located at the center of the map and a protective shield must be broken first before it can be accessed. The carrier cannot use any other weapons other than the weapon. If he dies, then the weapon will be dropped to the spot and a marker will be set, establishing the % goal of that team. After a certain point of time (or if the weapon is dropped into a killzone) the weapon is respawned at the middle.


I would like to see this in TF2... though no medics... and neutral speed, health, and etc.

Its kind of like this, but there's no shield and the Weapon isn't that strong.
