Why would you like to become a moderator?
I left the community along with any form of online social presence promptly due to my declining mental health; however - upon returning with an improved mental state I have come to find my joy for not only tf2; but gaming altogether again. I have noticed since I returned that there is a lack of staff presence during the quiet hours of the server, which I frequently play due to being Australian. I was once in the position, so I know more than most that the moderator team cannot be on at every whim to create an enjoyable environment for everyone; despite how much they want and try, real life is a much more ideal focus.
I used to moderate AUSJB before my abrupt leave (my leave of which I clarified with Sera on my return) - I would like to use the skills I learnt during this time; and the time I spent on Garry’s Mod to help support and be a part of the staff team once more. I wish to create an enjoyable and safe space for the players of the community to have fun in. Due to playing in the quiet hours, I will be able to help identify and catch those who break the rules thinking they can cheat their way out of repercussions because it isn’t usually hours that moderators are available. I’ve noticed first-hand that quite a lot of people will specifically target these quieter hours to break rules and intentionally behave when they know Mod’s are online compared to offline.

- I wrote these ladders from scratch originally; once I wrote them all I then cross-referenced with both my old application and part of Darkstalkers. Minimal changes were made as I ended up happy with my original choices.
- Anywhere that uses Mute/Gag entirely depends on whether the offense is done on chat or voice. Silence would be used if both apply.

As I touched on briefly earlier in my application, I am aware that my departure from the team was sudden and without warning - for which I am aware was unprofessional and both unwarranted. I was at a point in my life where I wanted to cut off social elements completely - which although immature of me it helped me get the help that I needed to restabilize myself. I reached out to Sera when I came back to tf2 to apologise and clear misunderstandings from my pov. I found myself to enjoy tf2 again, and would like to re-contribute my efforts as I once did. Although I completely understand if there is a level of distrust as a result.

I would also like to mention that due to me being Australian it is common for us to swear a fair bit - although not directed towards other players I acknowledge that children still play on the server and overall the environment I play in is different compared to what AUSJB used to be. I am attempting to cut back on this as best as I can.
All in all, I hold a joy for gaming and would simply like to help ensure the community I have always enjoyed playing in can be supported as much as I can contribute.

As I touched on briefly earlier in my application, I am aware that my departure from the team was sudden and without warning - for which I am aware was unprofessional and both unwarranted. I was at a point in my life where I wanted to cut off social elements completely - which although immature of me it helped me get the help that I needed to restabilize myself. I reached out to Sera when I came back to tf2 to apologise and clear misunderstandings from my pov. I found myself to enjoy tf2 again, and would like to re-contribute my efforts as I once did. Although I completely understand if there is a level of distrust as a result.

I would also like to mention that due to me being Australian it is common for us to swear a fair bit - although not directed towards other players I acknowledge that children still play on the server and overall the environment I play in is different compared to what AUSJB used to be. I am attempting to cut back on this as best as I can.
All in all, I hold a joy for gaming and would simply like to help ensure the community I have always enjoyed playing in can be supported as much as I can contribute.
