Why do you want to become an admin?
"I want to make BlackWonder better and safer!"... Well, yes I do however, this is a generic answer and not the reason I want to be an admin.

I served in the Army for 10 years. Structure and patience are very big for me. I was a Cadre for many years overseeing more than a thousand young men and women enlisting for the Military, helping build them up for their futures.

I want to bring more than just "making BLW better" or "I want to help deal with hackers". I want to bring that knowledge to the regular player that if something goes wrong there is someone around to help. Someone that can assist with issues whether its large or small.

I believe I can help with some of the disputes that happen. Overall I just want everyone to have an enjoyable time.

While I know Drax, we haven't had the chance to chat a lot due to time zones being so different.
I have met several of the other admins however, have not had the chance to build a rapport with so I will not list them at this time.

How would you go about punishing a hacker, spammer, simple rulebreaker, etc?
Hacker - Get confirmation and then perma-ban.

Spam chat/mic - Give a formal warning through public chat/Csay so they can read it because some players have voice disabled. If it continues start with a 30min gag/mute, escalating to 1 day, then to a week etc. Punishments would stack over time if these go unheeded or if the player continues to disregard the rules.

General Rule Breakers (ie. trolling/griefing) - Give them a formal warning through public chat/Csay. If they continue, 1 day ban. Following that a week. As above punishments will stack if rules continue to be violated.

Spawncamping - Formal warning through public chat/Csay. If they continue, 1 day ban. Second offense 1 week ban. I would escalate punishments etc.

There are a lot of variables that could really make this long so I tried aiming at first time offenses. Punishments would increase depending on past offenses. Some I believe could be given more leniency or could be more strict conditional on the circumstances. I would make my decisions on a case-by-case basis. As Alex° has advised I would implement the slay/kick option after a formal warning to certain situations.

If you were to search my name, you will easily find my WoW character. He is very old! He is still the GM of the guild we put together well over 10 years ago. Other than the Army giving me a great set of core values to live by I have a degree in Computer Science for Graphic Animation. Both of which I am passionate about. My degree allowed me to work in my other passion... gaming. I started out with Curse.Inc and now I'm working at Torch Technologies and getting into basic animations for future games.

While I have never been banned, kicked, muted/gagged, or punished I do have a black mark, albeit not a strong one. Following advice from RainbowRobb I believe it is sensible to bring up information about me that one could easily source from the internet.

I brought this to Robb's attention. He looked over it and told me not to worry. This is from a long time ago and it is easy to see that OzzyFurocity's Owner (Leon) gave clarity to the whole situation in this thread that diffused some of the comments. It is for this reason that I wanted to make the reader aware of this history. If there are any questions regarding this I will try to answer to the best of my ability.

I was also advised to give account of any reports I have made. I currently only have 1 report recorded, however this is because I have dealt with RainbowRobb and Alex° directly requesting their assistance with issues in the servers. Though contact is only made when I have demos/screenshots as supporting evidence. So far those issues/people that I have brought to their attention were found to be in violation of BLW rules and were handled accordingly.

Besides me not being able to pronounce your Steam name and the fact that you're 33!? I really love your reason to become an admin because it's unbelievably unique and perfect. What do you see as trolling? Like if someone was holding the intelligence and wasn't capping, you'll punish them? People see trolling and griefing differently. When it comes to spawn camping, it varies. Let's say your everyday f2p engine main puts a sentry in front of enemy spawn, the logical thing to do is to kick them to get rid of the sentry and the reason for the kick should be "Spawn camping isn't allowed" or something under the lines of that. If a Demoman was spawn camping, you will just slay and warn them. From my personal experience, you have a bit of an attitude sometimes which gets me a bit worried about how you'll handle smart-ass/annoying/rude players who are talking back to you. Overall, I think you're well fit to become an admin and you're almost always on LA 2Fort; which is great since 99.99% of cheaters love to cheat on 2Fort. +Support

I have only seen you guys a handful of times mostly when I'm undercover specting a hacker or something and have seen more of her than you but both of you being derogatory towards other players in a passive-aggressive manner. The Skial thread, even though its old, accurately describes what I had originally thought of you. I believe you would be biased towards your friends and that is not something I want on the admin team.

Heya Alex°. Haha if it helps Kerk-nor. Just like that! No, I didn't get into details with trolling because it really can be seen differently like you said. While an overall view on someone holding the intel can be considered trolling, it isn't against the rules so I would only take action if it became an issue and started to impede on the gaming experience of others in the server and their enjoyment eg. Are they being harassed by the intel carrier? Spawn camping can be difficult to determine in some areas like you said. While it would be hard to judge if they are an F2P I understand what you are meaning. I would still give the formal warning and ask them to remove it, informing them of the rule before I used the slay/kick option. I would want to give them ample opportunity to see the warnings and take action themselves before I step in. It's something I can add in there. Yes, it's true, I can have a small attitude towards those trolling/griefing/harassing others in the servers because I don't like them picking on people who they deem weaker than them due to age, voice, gender, or playstyle. However I am willing to improve on my tone so that I come across in a less harsh manner. If directed towards me it's very rare for me to even respond and if I do it's more along the lines of "Thats nice" and I'll keep playing. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback Jim! I am sorry that your experience with me while you were undercover and in spectator gave you a negative impression. It's my hopes that you gain real interaction with me personally rather than from the sidelines of spectator to gather a better perspective of who I am and how I would handle various situations.

Perhaps you could give me some examples of what you believe is passive-aggressive and a derogatory attitude towards others so I may review and work on it. As this is MY application I think its important that only my conduct and admin eligibility is under review. Introducing Honey into this application brings in an unfair bias against me as I can't speak for or against her actions nor should I be expected to answer for another person's actions or inaction. It is unfortunate that you are supportive of that Skial thread in regards to me. I sincerely don't want anyone thinking of me, especially through a limited interaction, as a "Scumbag", "the worst player in TF2", or being held responsible for banning people when it was another source. (As it was clarified in the thread that SMAC banned the complainer.)

Your belief that I would be biased towards my friends is something I can speak with full conviction that I do not do. While as staff I have issued the same warnings to those of my friends as I have any others as a clear indication that I do not take sides. It is my hope you will find a reason to interact with me more to get to know me and give some more feedback. Thanks again!

Your chat logs are clean, and I have never heard YOU being offensive to another player. I have seen you stay quiet in the past when a bit of instigating was occurring by others with the ︻デ═一 insignia. However, you were just another player and it was not your responsibility to do anything about it. So my only critique would be this. If you are chosen, then we would expect any punishments be them verbal or otherwise, to be distributed evenly. But after our extensive conversation the other night, you left me with no question in my mind, that you would hand such situations professionally. I don't really have anything negative.

Like Buster I held off on replying until the very last second in case anything had popped up regarding the stories of your past actions in other communities or your intense demeanor, but even if it had this would still be the best application I have seen in a long time in terms of useful content.

You somehow managed to take the 'Why do you want to become an admin' sell-yourself trap and turn it to your own advantage, much to our surprise. When looking at punishment lists I tend to toss out predictions on who will ditch the formal csay/psay warnings after a week, but in your case I think your past experiences will have taught you what works or not.

Other postives include living in a sought-after timezone, communicating well, and simply being on LA 2fort, the server with one of the highest amount of unanswered calls after perhaps UberUpgrades. Your Discord/forum activity is pretty limited, but that's fine. Just keep in mind that checking it from time to time will help you stay on top of the current events, changes and additions.

It feels strange to use this term, but you rifle-tagged bunch should hold back on arguing with children. It might be tempting to when they are smack-talking like there is no tomorrow, but it is also incredibly easy to just ignore them instead of escalating the argument until they inevitably cross the line and get muted or gagged. Can't remember if this last bit applies to you guys, but lightly insulting people just because they are commblocked and unable to communicate back is incredibly rude.

Accepting you might make Rob stop bitching about his old-man problems, which is a welcoming thought

Your application is certainly one of the cleanest and most concise we have seen, in a long time. And I expected that to be the case, since you have actually typed up a resume or 10 in your life, I'm sure.
